Seed Library

Discover the joy of growing your own food and supporting local biodiversity with our Seed Library! Whether you're an experienced gardener or a beginner, the APL seed library offers a variety of vegetables and herb seeds available to borrow at no cost. Simply take what you need, and if you're able, donate seeds from your own garden to help keep the cycle going. It’s a great way to explore new plants and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Seeds are available to pick up at the Main Library during the growing season. We don’t expect you to return the seeds, but if you have extra seeds or collect the seeds from the plants you grow, we will gladly take them back into the Seed Library!
In addition to utilizing the Seed Library, check out the resources below and see our Events Calendar for upcoming gardening programs!
The Seed Library is made possible by gifts from the Friends of the Library.
