Resources for Educators
Our librarians love partnering with teachers to help our community’s students succeed! If you work at a school in our library district, these are just some of the ways our Librarians can help you:
Present library resources that will help students with homework and research projects
Present fiction and nonfiction titles that relate to a topic being discussed in class
Create resource lists for student research projects
Provide training for staff or students on using the our digital resources
Enroll students in the Digital School Card program, allowing them to use their student ID number (or similar) to check out our eBooks and other digital materials
Present popular, age-appropriate fiction and nonfiction titles to get students excited about reading for fun
Partner with teachers or school media specialists to provide extracurricular learning opportunities for students, such as book clubs or STEM programs
Partner with guidance counselors to organize and/or host college/career fairs
If there is something you’d like to try, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Even if the library does not have the staff/resources to help you, we may know another organization in our community that does.

Field Trips
Classes are welcome to come to the library where they will receive a tour and the choice of a storytime, a STEAM activity, or an introduction to library research and online resources.
Book Talks
We would love to visit your Kindergarten -12th grade classrooms to talk about books! These can be about a specific topic, or a librarian can work with you to choose appropriate books.
In Class Programming
We would enjoy bringing programming into your Kindergarten -12th grade classrooms. A topic or focus can be chosen you.
Assignment Alert
Alert us about student papers, projects, or research assignments so we may prepare a display, booklist, or bibliography related to your topic.
