Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan systems allow library customers to access materials from
across the state and nation. Indiana Room staff can assist customers
in borrowing the following:
- Newspaper microfilm for Indiana is available at no charge, with
a maximum of five rolls per transaction.
- Newspapers from other states may be available, but costs may be associated.
Newspapers
Use the library catalog to access The Herald Bulletin newspaper index and search for names of people and places in Madison County. You can use the information to locate specific articles on microfilm.
Material Loan Policy
Materials in the Indiana Room operate under a different set of guidelines than materials found throughout the library. Because the Indiana Room is a research collection, most of its items do not circulate. Duplicate copies of some items can be circulated for a four-week time period to customers with Anderson Public Library cards.
Pedigree Chart
This printable chart is provided as a service to you. It is a good way to get
started in recording your family history. When finished,
bring to the Indiana Room, so it is on file for future generations!

Indiana Room Volunteers
In creating local history resources and indexes, volunteer help is often needed and appreciated. Past projects included the cemetery and obituary indexes. Volunteers should have keyboarding skills and have some computer experience. (We'll be glad to teach you if you don't). Interested persons should contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 765-641-2456 or via email.
