clientuploads/library-card-for-web.jpgAnderson Public Library now offers the option to purchase a monthly Non-Resident card if you live in a township without library service (for Madison County residents, Jackson and Richland townships currently do not pay library taxes and therefore do not have library service). A one-month Non-Resident card costs only $12.50 and may be purchased at the Main Library or the Lapel Branch Library. Non-Resident cards are also available for an entire year ($150), six months ($75), or three months ($37.50).

Photo identification and proof of address are required to obtain a library card. Each family member residing at the same address as the person who purchases a Non-Resident card may be issued an APL card for no additional cost. A current driver’s license, state ID card, passport, military ID, school ID, or employment ID with your name and picture are all acceptable forms of photo ID, and address may be proved by presenting a current driver’s license, personalized check, voter registration, utility bill dated within the last 60 days, or piece of computer generated mail postmarked within the past 30 days. For more information, see APL’s Library Card Issuing Policy or call Circulation at 765-641-2440.
